Woods - ‘Death Rattles’ from At Echo Lake

I like the unusually deep guitar sound on this song, which wouldn’t sound out of place on some 90s emo record, the kind where you’d hear a pin drop in between the sounds of ratcheting metal and tortured screaming. yeah, that kind of emo, not this kind (although it’s good too). plus, on top of the slight extra tension Woods have all the usual melodies and harmonious singing which makes listening to them such an existential joy.

- Jeremy Earl, existentialist philosopher et chanteur
